One of the things I think people might get drawn to is the switch up in terms of how coaches are going to lead the youth teams in Ireland.
Do you mind just explaining maybe to people who might be a little bit confused at home how it's going to change from maybe what people are used to seeing in people in a fixed term or a full-time contract with a team to what the new system is going to be for the FAI?
Can I ask, though, you spoke about maybe the need for, or not the need, but maybe coaches can go across to other countries and develop their coaching.
Is there maybe another case where we may see, I know from the top of my head, the likes of Spain with Luis de la Fuente, who went through youth groups to go on and manage the senior team.
Is that something that we might be looking at where managers are going through youth teams to end up managing?
We know you spoke about maybe the development plan you had for the last couple of years and now the new football pathway plan is going to change.
One word that's almost become a buzzword among media and general society is the aligned calendar.
And I know you have different ideas on it than other people might have ideas.
And when you came into the FAI, it might have been seen as a different thing maybe and people had different outlooks on it.
Do you mind just clarifying for people maybe, like, is a mandate potentially going to come in further?
Is it something that we've moved past and we're looking to go in a different direction now?
Can I ask, when you're going around to clubs and you're speaking to stakeholders, are you speaking to affiliates and clubs?
Is there parents and players involved?
I appreciate it.
It's a really exciting time for the FAI at the moment for you.
I'm sure you appreciate that.
I have to ask you, this is the first time we've spoken to you since the news broke out in the last couple of months regarding a Michael Noonan potential transfer in the future and your name being involved and sort of stuff like that.
Are you in a position to clarify for us maybe what happened there and what this looks like now going forward?
Are you saying the situation has maybe moved on for the FAO and yourself and it's just between Rovers internally?
John, I appreciate you answering that and wish you best of luck with the new part of the plan going forward.
