I really don't think that they have a ton of talent there.
I guess we'll see when Porter Martone continues to develop and what does Michkoff look like long-term.
I'm not sort of like out on the flyers long-term, but right now they have a very low ceiling overall.
And Dawkins found a way to raise the floor high enough, obviously, to grab a playoff spot in a really weak Metro division.
Yeah, I mean, I have votes for Hart, Calder, Norris, and all that stuff.
for the writers' awards, but I don't vote on the Jack Adams because that's broadcasters.
But no, to your point, I would say the Calder is fairly easy.
Matthew Stapers ran away with that.
I think you can sort of more or less pencil in the other guys into the rest of your ballot.
um let's see the selkie i mean it's kind of nick suzuki's award to lose um i haven't fully done like a deep dive to figure out who i'm going to be throwing in the mix there but i would say it's nothing too contentious but then you've got you know the the calder or sorry the norris and the heart and the heart has i would say a fair amount of debate um it's almost like you know pick your pick your your fighter situation where you've got just like these like uh
mind-breaking numbers at the top of the leaderboard for points, whether it's McDavid, Kucherov, McKinnon, Celebrini.
You know, you can throw Suzuki in there over 100 points and being a very defensively focused center, he's certainly going to be in the running.
So I feel like there's a ton of candidates for Hart, but where it differs from the Norris is that the Norris, I feel like it's almost โ
It's almost like if I thought eight different ballots and they had four different number one choices, I would think that's totally fine.
The Norris seems very wide open, I would say, which is, I think, rare.
And not only wide open, but deep, where you've got Wierenski, Dallin, you could throw Quinn Hughes in there, Moritz Seider, Kael McCarr, Evan Bouchard.
Like, literally, you can go, I think, eight deep before you go, okay, let's stop.
We're getting a little out of hand here.
And I'm not saying all eight should be considered for the first spot, but even, like, Elaine Hudson, does he end up, you know, on a lot of ballots in that fifth spot?
And, you know, Matthew Schaefer probably doesn't end up on every ballot, but I'm sure he'll end up on a few.
