But if you get a star player and that guy turns out to be the next LeBron, the next Steph Curry, the next Jokic, it changes the course of your franchise.
Where in football, every year, half the dudes don't have their fifth-year option picked up.
You have no clue.
I'm high on Fernando Mendoza.
I think he's going to be a good player.
But if you tell me in three years he stinks, believable.
No one knows.
David Bailey, one of the most productive players in the history of college football.
I've seen a lot of those guys, those type guys, really productive guy, dominant player, wasn't playing in the greatest conference.
Went up on a weekly basis against a lot of guys that aren't going to be playing on Sundays.
And I'm not trying to shit on him.
Clearly, he's a big-time talent.
But we've seen a lot of big-time talents not work out.
Sometimes it's the fit.
Sometimes it's the scheme.
