President Trump has set it up, which might seem to be perhaps a bit unwise. The China Daily, which speaks specifically for President Xi, says caving into US pressure is out of the question. And that's how they see it. I think that President Trump in some ways sees it in the same way as being an all-out attack between China and America. But I think he believes that the US can win it. I'm not sure that many outside people would say that.

And the danger of an all out tariff war with China, OK, it's three, four percent of world trade. But nevertheless, it's an enormous amount of world trade.
