I think it's if you're looking at two different setups.
So you're looking at the Ireland set-up, and I think Jack Crowley played his way past Sam, if you like, and into the 10 jerseys.
So in those circumstances, it was just that there was a player playing better than he was.
And in some respects, that's exactly the same with Harry Byrne.
I think if you look at Harry Byrne's form, so what Sam has encountered is that
two out-halves who are playing better than he is currently.
So the challenge for Sam on Friday night is you've been given the opportunity and he's got to go and remind people of the talent he has and the quality that he can bring and manage the game.
and be a feature in a very positive way for his team.
So that's something that I'm sure that Leo Cullen and the coaches will have reminded.
Like Sam Prendergast hasn't become a bad player.
He's just somebody who is at the moment needs to find his best form to challenge again for the 10 jersey with Leinster and with Ireland.
So that's Friday night is an opportunity for Sam.
to make a down payment on both of those.
And obviously there's an element of jeopardy because when you get an opportunity, it can go one of two ways.
He's got to try and make sure that he has a very positive impact and input into the game.
For him to be able to do that,
he's hugely reliant, and this should be pointed out as well.
It's not all.
Sometimes you just need a bit of luck in terms of how the pack goes, how much front football you get, the quality of the opposition.
All of these things are factors in how well you play, and you're particularly reliant on that as an out half, and even how well your scrum half plays, all that sort of stuff.
