Coach, we talked a little bit earlier this offseason about the whole idea of coming back, but you would think that you have a longer offseason because you're here, but you don't really look at it that way.
You look at it more like, hey, we're losing a week or two because of the rules that you can't get with these guys because you're not a new coach anymore.
Talk about your pace of the offseason and what you're trying to get done.

I think my favorite thing that I heard from that was you talking about not letting the stink of winning overwhelm the stink of something else.

Clearly that's important to you this offseason.

Anything specific that you're addressing along those lines and that you're focused along those lines?

How does he help specifically in the running game?
A different style than Travis Etienne was, but I know you like what he can bring in terms of down and distance, situational consistency, things along those lines.
Yeah.
Look, most of the things that go on in these negotiations are very behind the scenes because that's how they want it.
But this week, before the owners meetings got started, there had been reports that the negotiations for the new CBA aren't going well.
It was disastrous in the first month of 2012, which is the last time they had
replacement refs, and the league believes that's because they didn't hire them in time.
They're trying to be more proactive on it and get them in place sooner.
There's also a clause to have replay involved, which we'll get to.
The reports that were out this week don't sound very encouraging on a deal getting done because they seem far apart on a lot of things.
