I suppose my own gut feeling would be with Jimmy O'Brien.
I'd love to see him play in the centre, but he's kind of played everywhere else.
He played at half at school to a degree, and he played in the centre as well.
And back in the 20s days, he played in the centre.
He's always been a very good footballer.
The question is...
uh because he can play so many decisions so many positions even uh he um he's been moved around from pillar to post and that's a little bit of kind of kieran frawley syndrome jamie osborne syndrome so when you're talented and you can play in various positions
Sometimes it's kind of a double-edged sword.
It gets you into match day 23s, but at the same time, it can also be a little bit of a drawback when it comes to nailing down a single position.
So that's a long-winded way of saying that I think Jimmy O'Brien has done well.
I think that given the performance, Ciarán Froli's performance and the performance of the halfbacks and the team and stuff like that.
And when I say Ciarán Froli's performance, I mean not having the opportunity really to impose himself on the game against Japan.
I think Sam Brennigas is always going to come back in.
It's interesting that Ciarán Froli is the backup and not Harry Byrne.
And I think the pack pretty much picked itself.
I don't think there's any surprises there given the
one or two injury issues that have that kind of shaped the way the pack is.
And then it's great.
Like nobody would dispute that Sean Jansen doesn't deserve to be in the match day 23.
You might argue one or two others where you look at it and think, is it very narrow just picking a player who can only play one position, but that's the way Andy Farrell's gone.
