I think we absolutely could.
And I'll tell you why.
Because the buyers of gold now compared to what we've seen over the previous two and a half, three and a half years, have changed somewhat.
When I spoke to you last year, it was very much an emerging market story for gold.
We were seeing strong demand coming through from India, from China, a mixture of
Investment demand from there, sometimes jewelry demand at the right time of the year or on a bit of a price correction.
We were seeing emerging markets, uh, central banks buying a lot of gold.
Now, a lot of that emerging market story has cooled, uh, particularly since April uh this year.
Um, and now if I look at where the buying's coming from, where the the strength in the gold market is coming from, it is very much from West.
Western investors, we can see the ETF demand very, very clearly.
There's other demand coming out out of Western investors through the OTC market.
So that means it's, you know, even though it's a really strong move in gold, it's a lot narrower.
Now, the other thing I'd say about Western investors is they can take profits, they can cut positions.
Generally speaking, when central banks or or Asian buyers, emerging market buyers of bu of of gold, when they're in the market, they b buy gold and they rarely sell it back.
Whereas Western investors could be in there for, you know, one month, three months, six months.
If they're speculative, they could even be there for a day or two.
So the potential for corrections I think has increased with this changing nature of participation in the gold market, particularly since April this year.
I it's what I've heard, we've been unable to substantiate that that data.
Uh and the r and the reason for that is that look, we we're gold experts.
We know and estimate how much gold central banks own.
