if my maths is right, you did your first gig when you were 19 and by the time you were 20, you had a number one album.
It sounds like a dream, but also I guess it sounds, is that a trajectory you would wish on anyone?
I guess what I'm saying is like, you know, if I was sat in
in bed with a broken foot thinking, right, okay, I've got six weeks to make a demo.
And in a year's time, I've got a number one album.
I'm thinking there's no downsides to that.
But it must have been an extraordinary shift and change in your life.
That sounds so exciting.

But that must have put very new pressures on you.
So how does a 20-year-old cope with suddenly being a part of the music industry?
So could you explain to the listeners and me, often you hear musicians say,
you know, I had this big hit, I signed this deal, I kind of didn't realize till X number of years later that this person was getting all the money,
could you actually give an example of how that works or like what, what you mean when you say that you're an employer, but yet also your money is being funneled off by other people?
What does that look like?
So is it the case that a lot of these people, because I guess from my perspective as a comedian, when you start out, it's just you.
So like you're in charge of the marketing, the driving, the scheduling, the ticket price.
