And by getting so bad, I mean, by definition, what that means is some crisis, a crime, a significant event, a suicide attempt.
No one would take that approach with cancer or heart disease.
No, they wouldn't.
They wouldn't say, well, it's stage one.
If you're lucky, it gets to stage four, then we can get you help.

And can you talk more generally about your experience of getting mental health support through the NHS?
Yeah.
But it makes me think of like those campaigns they have to get men talking about their mental health and to reach out.
And it will be like a poster of a, like a gas fitter or a builder with his high vis and his hard hat.
And there'll be a message about the importance of trying to get help if, if you're feeling very low or suicidal.
And I can't imagine.
that guy sat in his GP's office in his high-vis with his hard hat and his big tool belt going, I never really talk about this stuff, but I'm hearing voices and I'm having suicidal thoughts and I'm feeling close to the edge.
I would imagine a GP going, oh, this is serious because this doesn't look like the sort of person who usually has issues with their mental health.
And do you think that's a gender thing?
Do you think that's to do with how people dress?
Do you think it's to do with class maybe?
