Well, you know, something that email brought up, because I've always been thinking about this.

It's like, you know, we'll be judgmental about Carl as he loses himself and he's hard on himself about it, but they're in an extraordinary situation.

And that email brought up the fact that us being

pampered americans privileged americans which we are yeah i mean if you grow up in this country no matter even if you're a visible minority you go like well i'm not privileged like those guys it's like yeah but but you are you don't most people grow up with some kind of privilege they don't even notice it i'm not privileged oh yeah you say a visible minority what am i now well you're you're yeah you're visible

But the idea of being in a war where you're fighting for survival and then still worried, but have I gone too far?

Am I losing myself?

It's like, man, that is first world thinking if nothing else is.

I'm not putting it on us.

You know, it's just an interesting way of thinking about things.

But always with Carl and the rest of our crawlers, you know, the Earth crawlers, they seem to have in the back of their minds that they're going to come through this thing and go back to the way it was.
