They've been unlucky with a lot of injuries and when you don't have your best players available, it doesn't matter what type of sessions or coaches sometimes can over-complicate the game.
You get your best players on the pitch, you give yourselves a chance of winning matches.
The lads probably haven't been available enough this season.
Even as they've come in, there's been players in and out, you're managing loads.
but I've seen some good signs even in the four games.
I know some of the results haven't gone our way but I know what I want, I know where I want to take this team and how I want it to play.
Certain players are going to fit into that system and that style.
We'll obviously have to recruit players at the end of the season so it's about me implementing my ideas bit by bit between now and the end of the season because when you come in mid-season you can't blow things up and expect things to change magically overnight.

The LOI wrap-up.
Sligo Rovers manager John Russell reflected on defeat at home when speaking to LOI TV.
The real threat, especially those switches of play, Sean Stewart, Will Fitzgerald on that left side thought Archie was excellent, Dara Patton, Cara McHugh really good in the middle of the park, so loads to be pleased about, but then to concede a minute into the...
The second half was a real sucker punch, but we responded, we wanted to build out from the back and no arguments, like Darrell Patton showing for that ball from Sargent, that's what we're built to do and I encourage that.
He gets nicked, but for me it's never a red card, he's come on the blind side, he gets nicked, the ball goes back to the keeper, it's a yellow card at most and it's a huge moment.
We go down to 10 men to soak up a lot of pressure, still had a couple of opportunities on sets.
but we give away another really poor goal and it's a tough one to take.
