We definitely got ourselves back in the second half.
The first half, the goal we gave away was really poor from our point of view, but the first 15-20 minutes of the second half, we showed a bit more personality, got on the ball and showed what we were about.
without troubling the keeper and that's been a big issue for us this season.
We're not scoring enough goals and when we got into those moments in the final third we didn't get shots off on target and ultimately we spoke during the week about the set plays.
Since the new managers came in they've been a real threat and they scored a second goal from a corner kick.
It gives them serious life after us being on top in the second half and then the red card unravels.
In those moments we need to be careful because we've got some young players but we can't let that game get away from us and concede the goals we have.
It's a frustrating night all round.
Yeah that was a big moment because we were on top of that stage and yeah if it goes to 1-1 you know there's probably a bit of nervousness on the ground here and we were kind of growing in confidence so yeah it was a big moment but
Did we play well enough tonight for the magnitude of the game?
We need all the players performing at a top level and too many players didn't produce the goods tonight when it really mattered.
And that's the frustrating thing for us because
We can say, yeah, we're missing players and we're down seven or eight.
The players that took to the pitch tonight, they're good enough to win a game of football and they have to perform to their levels and take their chances.
When players are out injured or suspended or whatever it might be and you're in the team, you need to take it.
And unfortunately, some players didn't perform to the levels they're capable of.
The red card wasn't too long after the second goal went in.
We were just about to make two changes and it was 1-0.
to bring my, Traore and Kevin's Effie into the game, just to give us a bit more of an attack and threat.
But yeah, they're just about to come in, it goes 2-0, and then Olly Denham gets a second yellow card, we're down to 10 men, and as I said, we still have to manage the situation better.
