You want to score more runs, you want to slug more, um, and you want you want a little bit more consistent uh consistency from the offense. voice-verified

And um from my standpoint and from the coaches standpoint, we always point the finger at ourselves and say, How can we do that better and how can we help them improve quicker going forward? voice-verified

I think simple version is um you know, leaning into people's strengths and trying to get better, you know, not only in the off season but during the season. voice-verified

I think base running is a big part of it. voice-verified

You know, if you're not gonna slug, I think base running um needs to take a step forward as a whole, as a group, but I'm not talking about stealing bases, I'm talking about just being efficient and taking advantage of opportunities um in situations where you may not have some slug coming up. voice-verified

So um those are the two things that jump out when you're trying to generate runs. voice-verified

Um when you get on base you gotta you gotta kinda keep the line moving. voice-verified

I mean perfect world you have a little bit of both, you know, you have um and I think that's kinda you know what we what we were looking to do this year where you have different skill sets and um again not pointing fingers at one person. voice-verified

There's you know guys that um we thought were gonna slug a little bit more that didn't. voice-verified

Um and then it kinda just makes people try to do things they're not good at, you know. voice-verified

So in a perfect world you have a little bit of both. voice-verified

You know, I don't wanna, you know, have thirteen guys that are hitting voice-verified

You know, if you're gonna if you're gonna get on base, you gotta run the bass as well. voice-verified

I think it's it's always, you know, we're fortunate to have the um you know, the front office that's that's gonna look for external help, right? voice-verified

But I I do think that we um we have guys here that can perform better. voice-verified

And myself and us as coaches, again that's where you you know, we've been doing it all year, but you really gotta dig in and say how can we make those improvements quicker or how can we adjust quicker. voice-verified
