There's a bigger pool of players now coming to the CHL, much more competitive, maybe better hockey, but it's going to hurt.
It's going to hurt the development of Canadian players in the short term.
It is, simply because of the travel and the location of the cities.
And the other thing is, I think that what we're going to see is, and a lot of people have mentioned this, but we're going to see a real challenge for the American League.
Because remember, Bob, all these years we talked about players coming out of the draft and better than junior hockey and not ready for the NHL.
Can they go to the American League?
Well, they're not going to the American League.
They're going to the NCAA.
Right.
Where they get paid.
Right.
Right.
So this is what it's going to happen.
When I was a kid, when you were a kid, the American League was where old hockey players went to play.
You know, the Andy Hebbetons of the world and all the guys that played in the Portland Buckaroos, Guile Fielder and all these guys.
And I think we're going to see that again for the American League.
And the American League is going to still maintain and be competitive.
But it's going to be a lot more veteran players that aren't good enough to play in the NHL, can still play the game and compete.
