AM radio particularly, has fallen off the face of the earth.
The quality of the sound isn't as good as FM, isn't as good as internet radio.
That's a problem.
It has become antiquated and has become very expensive to do.
That transmitter that used to run the 1260 feed was going to cost $2 million to repair for Bell, and that's why they pulled the plug on
On CFRN radio.
And that's part of the capital expenditure it takes to run AM radio.
It just doesn't make sense when you can't make that money back in advertising.
I mean, the Oilers, you know, are dwarfing what the Elks do.
And the fan base for the Oilers is different when you consider that, heck, I remember doing a banquet in Lloyd Minster a couple of years back, and I sat at a table with 20 people, and all 20 were season ticket holders of the Oilers from Lloyd Minster.
Now, you don't see that in Toronto, season ticket holders coming from London.
or coming from Kingston.
You don't see that.
You do see that in... Wait a sec.
Yeah, well, you obviously don't know the OHL because if you got Kitchener and London mixed up, that would be sacrilegious.
