Honestly, I think it's cyclical, Bob.

You know, Brock Besser's not threatening to leave Vancouver, nor is Thatcher Demko if he's healthy.

Austin Matthews is going to start the season in Toronto.

He has no desire to leave here at this point.

You know, it's one of those things that that American Olympic team

uh we got a buzz they got a feeling and i think that uh there's a few guys that were on the team that want to want to continue that you know you're you know connor halibut's in that boat too and so is dylan larkin but dylan market doesn't play for a canadian-based team so i i as much as it's uh one of those things that it looks like a conspiracy um

I'm not one of those people that believes it's a conspiracy.

I just think it's more of a coincidence than anything else at this point.

And to continue the argument, if in fact it is a conspiracy, there are just as many good Canadian and European players that can play in Canada and enjoy it.

And so, you know, if somebody chooses to play, the pendulum has swung in favour of the players these days, Bob, you know that.

And if they choose to stay or to leave and play in places they want to stay in, so be it.

I don't think we should make too much out of it.

We're just being a little self-deprecating on ourselves in Canada, as we often do in situations like this.
