Text unlike an image, usually text files don't have a place where you can shove metadata that's not visible.

The whole point of a plain text file is a sequence of you know Unicode code points or whatever you know uh encoding scheme it is, and that's it.

There's no other like images have all sorts of stuff in them that doesn't get displayed when you display the image, but text files don't.
