And so my solution to that was, okay, well, I am just going to make an unsandboxed, notarized, direct download free app

that switch glass will look for if it happens to be there launch it if it is there and talk to it until it does quit the apps and so that app is called quitch glass it's like quit but switch glass quitch glass it is a free download if you have switch glass and you want to quit apps you just download quitch glass launch it once it is totally invisible it doesn't have a dock icon doesn't have a menu bar icon you never have to launch it manually switch glass will do all the management for you the point is if you have quitch glass installed to have launched it one time ever you

Switchglass will have a quit in the menu that will work because Switchglass communicates to Quitchglass and says, hey, you do the quitting for me.

So how can that strategy help me get a doc material on my app?

not quite as easy because it's not like, you know, I'll send you a message and you'll do the work.

Like it's the material that's showing behind the little pallets.

And that's, I mean, again, if I was Guy Rambeau or somebody clever, there's probably some way to like have things rendered by another process and put back into yours and blah, blah, blah.

I'm never going to figure that out.

But here's my strategy, and this is probably why, I mean, if Apple does listen to this, they're probably going to shut me down and this will never be a thing.

But until Apple stops me, which may be very soon, here's my strategy.

Ship my app in the Mac App Store with the things that Mac App Store apps can do.

So no quitting, no doc materials, just tons of other limitations that suck.
