Yes, the radar gun's a little juiced, first of all.
And guys are definitely training to throw the ball as hard as they can, no doubt.
The training of baseball pitchers is way ahead of the training of hitting.
And you see this shift going on of what clubs are trying to do and how they use 38 pitchers a year.
Think about that.
38 pitchers to get through a season.
That's insane.
But because they have a lot of factory arms, because they have guys that don't know how to pitch but can throw, they can fill the gap with the rules that exist in baseball.
Things have to change in a rule change down the road, which is going to come, but they got to get this labor thing behind it.
A rule change is going to come just like it affected the pitch clock and the banning of the shift and all the things that have now made baseball relevant again.
We're going to have to do that on the pitching front because right now clubs don't care whether a guy lasts five or six years.
They just care about that moment and time where he can max effort.
And we're having discussions that we should never be having on the narratives like this.
