I think stupid is the right word.
I mean, I don't know.
And we have any number of data sets from red states and blue states and green states and whatever states that turning this thing off was a mistake.
And it seems like – I'm curious what you think of this.
We're in the midst of this debate about China, and we've covered on different episodes that the U.S.
government is considering taking some pretty protectionist steps, I would say, limit our ability to engage with the innovation that's coming out of China.
And I guess my perspective is –
I don't know that I see China so much as the problem as I see shooting ourselves in the foot at every point of the value chain.
Price control, shutting SBIR.
Is that the problem?
Because one of the things we get told is, well, the early stage ecosystem can't survive because China's too competitive.
How do you see it?
That last point, I think, is one of the strongest.
I mean, how do we look?
American patients in the, I don't think Americans are xenophobic when the FDA has approved a medicine.
I think they say, I don't care where the innovation came from if it saves my child or myself or a loved one.
And so I think that's really profound.
But I also think something else we sort of hear is, you know, you mentioned the IITs.
I guess the way I hear it, would you agree
if the cost for some of the things you pursued wasn't at the IIT level, but was a much higher one, we just simply would be putting fewer shots on goal.
