No, of course. And then, like, you just try different things. And that's, like, how you stay interesting in dance music is when you bring in the drops and stuff when people don't expect it. So we call that happy little accidents. Oh. When you, like, deal a little fuck up and you're like, wait, this actually kind of works.
Yes, I'm doing things. How much stuff are you doing? Well, it depends, right? So it's like you can be doing three to four tracks at once.
And you have extra layering and stuff like that too. But it depends like what kind of set I'm doing. If I'm doing like a club set, I don't come in there with any single game plan whatsoever. Okay. So I guess it would be kind of, I'm trying to dumb it down as much as possible right now.
Like if I was just, if you were to show up to like a Vegas nightclub and I hand you the ox, I'd be like, yo, play for the next three hours. Right. But then you have to actually smoothly blend everything together. Make sure it's all in key. Make sure the phrasing, everything's right. Right. And you can get creative with it. Cause I had extra acapellas on top. I cut out, you know, the base and stuff.

Depends. Yeah. Cause I'm very involved with the lighting and visuals and all of that. So it's like a whole production process. So a lot of the work is done beforehand. And cause I don't know if you've seen like any of these shows at all, but everything's like time coded and synced. And then that's what we plan with the team and doing rehearsals and all of that.
do is of course because you have to have like some of the performer aspect to it right and that's why now i'm bringing in like when i just did kia forum in la um i did three nights there i brought like a whole orchestra i saw that it was sick so that was cool and then you now like that visuals are such a big deal because i just played the sphere last month have you guys been there yet i have i've been there i'm actually going back all right for the dead yeah yeah i'm so excited and so that obviously a lot of the work is spent making visuals for that
Wait, did you do the sphere just yourself? I played it before Anima. Okay. So he has that show. It's insane. It's the biggest, it's the most expensive show you can possibly do. So I do plan on doing it in the future, but it's a big investment. Yeah.
I was just like staring at the wall the whole time. Yeah. I was tripping out a little bit. Yeah.

Well, I was probably cooked while DJing. This is when I play in Miami and I do like the very long sets and I'll edge them for a good five to seven minutes. Oh, that's awesome. Especially, I mean, if it's like, if I got to go to the bathroom too, I'll put on a loop and then go run for four minutes. And they have no idea what's going on.
Are you normally? No, not the Vail shows sober. The shows after that. I was very much not sober there.
I mean, there was like a stretch of years where I was like drinking party like five nights a week and it was just getting like too much and I was getting too wrapped up in it. And then that obviously affected my performance a little bit. So now it's like I pick and choose my battles. Yeah. Like Vegas, I do 20 times a year. That's so easy to me. So now I'm taking shots during that. Yeah.
But these big shows, especially when you do things like Coachella and stuff. Yeah. You have to be.
Pretty. Yeah.
I'm going to have to say no to that. Say no to Freebird. But my vibes are great. The vibes are great. I might be able to mix it in somehow.
So EDM is kind of an all encompassing term that was like created by Americans. So like Europeans and the rest of the world hate it. So it's like, and I was like a snob because I started making underground music and tech house.
stuff you hear like the warehouse parties and stuff here um and so i kind of avoid that term for the longest time but it basically means all dance music okay it means electronic electronic dance music yeah and then uh house is just four on the four you know kick clap hat and then techno it's like just a kick i mean you probably know techno when you hear it yeah exactly exactly got it
