She'd been out in Bray and she stepped off the bus in Enniscarry and was walking out the road to where she was living.

And this fella snatched her like, you know, it was broad daylight on a Saturday evening.

You know, there were a few witnesses that saw it.

saw you know a girl in distress or looked like a it looked like a child because she was very she was only short like you know in the back of this car and stuff like that and then you know when she didn't come home her parents reported her missing and so the two things were kind of tied together that these sightings of a girl or a young woman with long dark hair and you know asian features in distress in the back of this whatever it was nissan cash car or something

but he had snatched her and um over the next day or two absolute huge search to find her and to identify the car and stuff like that so they trailed through cctv footage like there was cctv footage on the bus and you could see her on the bus as she's just about to step off and you could see the car behind so he knew she was going to be on that bus now whether he had followed her

from Bray or he had seen her before, we don't know.

But it seems that he... It was premeditated.

There was some sort of premeditation there because he had gone out that evening and he just didn't come back.

Like, I mean, he was living, I forget where he was living, but he was, you know, wife, kids, stuff like that, young kids.

And they had identified by the following morning through the CCTV stuff and appeals to the public, they had identified the car and who the driver was, Mark Hennessy.

And all through the Sunday then I think they were searching for him in the hope of finding Justine still alive.

But he was spotted in the Cherry Orchard Industrial Estate, I think it was, that evening.

A member of the public saw him and called it in and he was confronted in the car park in there.

he wouldn't get out of the car he had it all locked and stuff like that and he started cutting himself and stuff like that and the guards didn't know if she was in if justine was in the car or not and he leaned over kind of down into the footwell on the passenger side and they thought that she was there and he was going to kill her so they shot through the glass just shot once and it hit him and you know hit an artery and stuff like that so he died i think within within a few minutes like the you know the paramedics got him out to worked on him on the ground and stuff like that but

Then the guards found that there was nobody else in the car, but they found this letter, you know, and it was covered in blood, but it did make reference to a place called Pucks Lane Golf Course, which is up, I think it's an area called Rat Michael, like it's halfway up the mountains, like, you know, just real narrow country back roads and stuff like that.

So that's where the search then started.

was concentrated overnight and you know they sent the helicopters and all that up but they were using heat sensitive cameras but they kept picking up deer and wild animals and stuff like that so it wasn't until the next day between the guards and the army and i think civil defense and all the way up doing a massive search but

They found Justine up just beside that golf course.

It was a disused golf course up in a place called Pucks Lane.

But they reckoned that he had killed her within an hour or so of taking her that Saturday evening.
