Just months after shedding most of its cable TV business into Versant Media, they're now again separating into two separate companies.
One is going to house the namesake cable and tech operations.
The other will comprise the NBC Universal and Sky Media business.
The Comcast shareholders are going to own shares in both Comcast and NBC Universal.
Comcast intends to establish a strong investment-grade balance sheet for each of the businesses, so it would provide Comcast and NBCUniversal with significant financial flexibility to pursue their prospective growth strategies.
Mike Cavanaugh, he's going to be the CEO of NBCUniversal, and Comcast's former CFO, Michael Angelakis, is going to become the CEO of Comcast in New York.

And Nathan, the latest national survey from AAA shows the average price for unleaded has now fallen to $3.86 a gallon.
That represents a decline of 12% over the last month.
The average price a year ago stood at $3.19.
This decline comes on hopes of some sort of lasting ceasefire with Iran.
But Bloomberg intelligence analysts do caution that oil markets may be pricing too smooth a transition from the Gulf War.
They're pointing out that security incidents and cautious shipowner behavior could keep the path back to normal slower than prices imply, especially with strategic inventories at a 43-year low.
