And it's often not even about me.
It might be about my kids or my grandkids.
And before you head off from the studio, pick up your guitar, head to the next date, has songwriting and performing music live, has that sort of provided, offered a new creative outlet for you that maybe can't be fulfilled properly through making movies or TV programmes?
Well, it's hugely personal and it's very cathartic.
It really allows you and kind of almost forces you to focus on certain things that you might just kind of dismiss.
There's a song that I wrote called See You on the Other Side that is a new song that is not on this record.
And it's about losing someone that's really special and important to you.
And it doesn't have to be your mom or your dad.
It can be a friend.
It can be someone you idolize.
But it is about that kind of loss.
And through that song and even through performing that song,
It helps me move forward from that kind of thing.
And so then in that context, yeah, the songwriting is incredibly helpful.
Some people write a journal, some people paint to express their feelings of any kind of situation.
And songwriting for me has allowed me to become very specific about it.
But you will continue to act though?
Oh my gosh, yeah.
That's the love of my life.
And it's honestly, it's what I've spent my life learning, right?
