And so polygamy becomes this distorted reality.
And so then the question becomes, well, why?

And one thing you pointed out was marriage becomes the main metaphor or a pretty primary metaphor for how God relates with Israel.
Covenant people.
Covenant people.
And that whole story is about how God wants marriage.
To have a relationship with all the people, bring blessing to all the people.
And so he's going to focus on the one.
On behalf of the many.

He limits himself to the one.
