But anyway... This is a big week, Zach, for angry dudes yelling, that's not basketball.
You know, really maybe the high watermark for that exact kind of dude.
I think I'm leaning, like, slightly towards Shea these days.
And it's hard to say because, like, Jokic is clearly, like, laboring and working his way back from his own injury.
Also, 31-20-13 tonight in San Antonio.
Like, the Jokic-Murray... I mean, it...
their dynamic is just one of my favorite things in modern basketball.
And so it's so hard to lean against that in any particular way, but Shea is like made a believer of me.
And, and I think you just have to acknowledge what he does to make the thunder exactly what they are, what he does to enable putting so much defensive personnel on the floor around him by virtue of his one-on-one creation, what he does to make them one of the lowest turnover teams in the league, what he does just like stylistically is,
that feels so singular relative to anything we've ever seen before.
And I think that's part of why, not just who does he compare to now, who does he compare to in the past, I find myself thinking a lot about is what Shade does even something you can emulate?
If you're an 11-year-old basketball player right now who's training to be the best possible future pro you can be, can you even try to do this?
Can you try to do the weird contortions that he does on every step back that seem to only work for him
And if so, or if not, like, what does that even say about Shay?
I'm not sure anymore.
I'm almost like less concerned with the Lou part because that is just going to like the shots are going to hit or they're not.
And more concerned with the, what does that mean for Chet being guarded by a wing?
And I thought this was actually a pretty great game for that kind of showcase for Chet, where
he plays like a physical big in some cases and in some aspects of the game and in others, he just kind of is a body in the mix.
And I thought like that game securing rebound in which I think was poor Sam Hauser trying to fend him off the glass.
