So it I I think it maybe is something that Brighton have been doing with uh a degree of regularity this season.

But once yeah, once it went to two in in the villa game for sure.

And I think once once the the the game was set at two nil, uh I whether or not that just sort of focused their minds a little bit more, but they they kicked into gear.

And for me what was so impressive about Brighton's performance was the out of possession.

Um they they just stopped Manchester United from being able to really progress the ball in any kind of sustainable way.

Um at 2-0.

And um that was the basis I think that they built.

built the the the the game plan on and um the Pascal Gross goal was just a fantastic example of of how uh an aggressive press can lead lead to these sorts of conditions.

It reminded me a little bit actually of the the Chelsea go goal against Fulham where obviously different because um it was they they sort of forced the the long ball uh a little bit more Brighton but you remember when um Kuenka the the Fulham centre back played the ball long

Long that and Fulham had such split centre backs that all it took was a Maxon Lequoi header and it took like eight eight Fulham players out of the game because the uh and this was back in early early uh Arbelower Fulham era.

Um so Al yeah, uh Alvaro Arbaloa one point oh, the the the midfield was completely evacuated and and all it took was that header to take them out.

And the same thing happened with Brighton.

They were they managed to force Manchester United one way, then the other, and despite the fact that they were able to access the other side, they were still uh under pressure when when when the the other centre back received the ball, played it long, header into the feet of Pascal Gross, who was in a lot of space.
