You don't want to open out large spaces in the middle.

That means that if you press high up the pitch, it's risky because if the opponents break your press, then you don't have any players to mitigate it in behind in the spaces that open up behind.

If that does if that isn't working, that sort of raises a question of like, in this instance

Was the club overreaching in terms of the logics that it was applying?

So if we bring in these players, we will we will be able to compete in in a in a in a sort of countercultural way because the Premier League is moving into a more physical dimension?

Or is the conclusion, well, actually if if these players were given a better s uh sort of structure or a better um over overarching plan about what they should do when they were trying to build out from the back, um, would that change things?
