So um people were using this the the metric for like ball possessions lost after Liverpool had played three games and basically every other team had only played two.

Right.

Um and Vietz was top of that list.

And already like possession loss metrics are are kind of interesting because actually creative players often lose the ball a lot, right?

So actually

Bruno Fernandez is top of that list, I think.

Or maybe it's Sobersleigh and then Bruno Fernandes and then Vietz.

It's part of doing business.

Yeah.

But I d I got a bit of pushback when I talked about this on Twitter because people were saying, well, you know, with someone like Bruno Fernandez or someone like Kevin De Bruiner, they are very kind of risky um uh creators, right?

So they'll when they receive the ball, they're always looking to play positively, they're always looking to play riskier passes that if they come off, then you're gonna create a goal.

If not, you're probably

going to lose possession of the ball.

Whereas Vietz isn't quite that.

Like Vietz isn't like a high volume, risky pass player.

Um he's a bit more of a like a neat and tidy guy who receives the ball in space, will take a couple of touches and then move the ball on.

So him losing the ball a lot, I think, represents him not doing what he should be doing as or what makes him really good as much, which I think is a fair, a fair argument.

But what we have seen is we've seen glimpses of that happening.

When he can um

arrive in space without pressure, take the ball and then and then play these passes, I think he's he's excellent and you can understand why he was so integral to that Leverkusen team who who went invincible in the Bundesliga.
