Um but yeah, it it does seem as though they're quite happy just absorbing pressure, which a lot of Premier League teams don't.
And it and it's almost as though that's creating like an outlier situation where a lot of teams, because they've lent into um
I guess a more physical transitional game.
They aren't suited to breaking down a a really sort of clunky, like deep back five, uh, four in front, one one in front of that block.
And um yeah, uh it's making a it's pr producing kind of an interesting tactical situation because because a lot of teams are like Manchester United struggled with it.
Like we we know that they they struggle with it, but like why shouldn't they just sit in those sort of low blocks and see?

Yeah, I I didn't watch this game, so I can't comment on the specifics of it, but this is the the story we've been telling about Chelsea over the last few seasons and it's in in many respects sort of similar to what we've been talking about with Manchester United over the post uh Fergie era, right?
Um this idea that that if you have a team who can play in transition, they're gonna they're gonna thrive as soon as you s stop giving that kind of space up, then it becomes a lot more difficult.

With Chelsea, you'd think that I mean they obviously they have all professional players will just thrive in bigger spaces, right?
That's the reality is is that I mean, I guess and if they have to run a lot, then then there'll be some place who won't.
But in in general, if you're attacking big spaces, it's gonna suit Premier League teams better.
Mm-hmm.
So the reason why it's harder to play against the low block is because you're denying those spaces.
But um, I guess the question then is how you find ways of being able to break those.
those those low blocks down um from a from a more tactical perspective, whether or not you're just relying on the players solving those problems as well.

Um I'm actually gonna I think I might do a video this week on the way that some teams are starting to change their approach to low blocks and it's it seems to be quite beneficial.
