and you're max Verstappen and that means that you just push try and do things as well as you possibly can don't miss any opportunity as he's done brilliantly throughout his career and on that one he saw felt believe the track was through that last corner it was damp but there were dry patches and he thought saw thought the track had dried out stamped on the um power to go matched

it wasn't it was still damp and it was gone basically kind of IndyCar shunt wasn't it that you'd lose it and then you correct it and then you're in the wall so I think just frustrate more probably from his perspective there's probably greater frustration about the pace of the car at the moment versus the front especially because going back to the upgrade thing Red Bull has been one of the most aggressive at the start of the season and is likely winding stuff down now and matched

so this may be the kind of the fate of the second part of the season for him matched

I think this is similar to Colopinto and Lawson in Australia, that there but for the grace of God, we avoided a massive shunt. matched

Hulkenberg just happened to pick the right way in an instant, just as Franco, for some reason, managed to get around Lawson in Australia, which would equally have been a big shunt. matched

And I think there's probably some questions to ask about that matched

starting procedure and why they chose to put the safety car because I think the drivers felt that it was actually less safe having had a formation lap behind a safety car where you aren't pushing the car a lot you can't feel the limits as much you aren't really aware of where things are damp and where things are dry so it would actually be better to have let them run a normal formation lap rather than behind the safety car or matched

to have done two safety car laps and then let them go just to see. matched

So they all really didn't know what the final corner was like. matched

The rest of the track was all pretty good. matched

The only damp spot was the inside of turn three low down because it was most sheltered and the water was obviously dripping down to the bottom. matched

which isn't on the racing line so turn three you run high so it wasn't a problem there but the final corner where it was the water was low down was exactly where you need to run i matched

Yeah, I think it's an element of the rules don't help a bad driver be good. matched

What they do do, because you're limited on deployment and harvesting and you're hemmed in by so many restrictions, they stop a great driver being so brilliant. matched

And I think this is the frustration that Max has with these regulations. matched

I think his standing is stronger at the end of this weekend than it was at the matched

Well, he didn't have a great time at Red Bull Reserve Driver. matched

But I think he's shown again this weekend the potential's there, the speed's there. matched
