John, so great to be on.

John, thank you for having me on the show.

So by way of background, I'm Chief Executive to Columbia North CMAP.

So we are a PSA provider, professional services automation, very much focused on two sectors, two geographies.

So consulting firms and then architects and engineers and then across the UK and the US.

In terms of what we do and why we exist, our mission is to empower services firms to thrive.

So we do that by providing a financial and operational backbone that spans everything from how services firms quote, through to resource, through to bill, and how they get their invoices out the door.

So I've been with the company six and a half years now.

So I've had a really good insight into the workings of the services economy over the last six or seven years.

Prior to that, I worked in M&A.

And so again, I had seven years in the M&A industry.

So it's all sort of firsthand, if you like, the perils of the feast and famine of the services world.

And now very much serving that community through our software platform.

How did you make the transition from M&A into software?

Yeah, look, it's a bit of a big old shock.

So my last client, we seem to have been advising us on our first round of private equity investment.

And then Dave, who's our CEO at the time, asked me if I wanted to come and do a proper job.

So I don't think at that point in time, he probably worked out what that was going to entail and neither would I. But it's been a good ride and I've really enjoyed it.

So I think sort of stepping back, I guess my deco plus sort of working at CMAP, sort of serving the services community or working as part of the service and career working alongside a lot of consulting firms.
