There is something to be said

about having one guy focusing on how can we be the best special teams unit in college football.

If there is something broke, Robbie should be capable of being able to lock in and fix the problem.

Attention to detail was always something that was always missing from Ryan Day's special teams, even under the Parker Fleming era.

So fingers crossed, he is better than him.

When you farm out special teams to position coaches, as Chase said,

how much attention are these guys giving to those special teams units?

They obviously have their plates full, focusing on their own position group.

Now that you bring a guy in, from the time that he clocks into the building and the time that he walks out, his sole purpose is let's figure out how we can have the best unit in all of college football because when you look at some of these losses under Ryan Day, you can attribute it back to poor special teams.

So to me, this signals that they are taking it serious.

The margin of error is going to be extremely thin.

And if you can have a rock solid special teams, especially when these tight fourth quarter games, it's going to go a long way.

I will say innovative in the way that Ohio State probably looks like the first college football team that is starting this trend.

I'm curious to see if you're going to see other big programs like the Georgians or the Alabamas kind of trend this way.

Reaching into the NFL, not every program is going to have the juice like Ohio State does to be able to say, hey, we have two former NFL coaches as our coordinators while having 12 full-time assistants.
