So, and Richard Weller is doing a lot of research on the risk-benefit ratio of sun exposure, right?
And we are seeing that potentially, well, definitely sunburning, we see increases risk of melanoma, right?
But, you know, potentially sunburning could also increase risk of other skin cancers.
But what is the risk-benefit ratio?
And
it is looking like you have more benefits from getting more sun exposure than you do from getting less sun exposure.
So again, I want people to remember that there is a risk-benefit ratio.
You maybe have a couple more wrinkles, maybe some skin cancers if you get too much sun exposure, but you're getting a reduction in all of these really deadly cancers like breast cancer, like colorectal cancer, like all these cancers that we definitely do not want.
So again, risk benefit ratio and yeah, all your points you made.
Great.
Yeah.
Overhead lights.
Why they are a problem at night is because, and we have tons of papers looking at this, is that light coming in from the top of the retina actually suppresses melatonin more than light coming in from the bottom of the retina.
So, and this makes sense, right?
During the day, where's the sun?
The sun's above us.
The sun's not below us, right?
The sun's above us.
Light coming in from the top down, top of the retina down.
That light is what suppresses melatonin.
