And that's one thing, like I saw that post and I really kinda resonated with that.

And I think me and you've even touched on it.

A lot of guys we've spoken with, uh, the guests on here have talked on it.

Uh Mike Lilly, I believe, when we asked him, like, hey, what's the big thing you'd stress when doing stuff with your police canine?

It's the stuff outside of the work, right?

How does he get in and out of the car?

Can he be calm walking into different environments?

It doesn't take me like I don't have to have my dog on a focus heel.

to walk him through all these stores and all this craziness, right?

That's not practical.

Can he come out and regulate?

And just be involved in the environment but not interact with it.

Can you be neutral?

Uh and can we kind of control some of those arousal levels and use obedience if needed?

And I think that's the key point that we're emphasizing to a lot of owners now on the pet side of things and something some of the working dog people should be looking at.

It's something I've started to appreciate this last year with Knuckles.

Uh, like I told you, I'm gonna teach him to get on the kayak, go paddle boarding.

Uh we've got some more lofty goals where I'm just looking forward to enjoying life with my dog and not just hammering only a sport.

Or only getting them out to work.
