Yeah, he's obviously a huge figure at Liverpool and then in nineteen seventy seven he takes um what was at the time a very unusual decision to leave England.
He goes to Germany.
And it's
Obviously we're not watching him playing regularly for Hamburg.
But he's won two ballons d'oors.
And so he's you know, he's the only English player ever to win two ballons d'oors.
Um and so f in my childhood he oh he he he came back to Southampton then to Newcastle.
He was you know the English footballing superstar and yet to be honest I never really saw him play at his peak.
Um and yeah, obviously being yeah, living in the north east, I saw a lot of him when he was at Newcastle in eighty three, four.
Um
Well he's he's there, sorry, eighty two to eighty four wasn't he was there for two seasons.
But that's that second season when they got promoted, eighty three, four.

Yeah, Beadsley and Waddle were coming through as well.
Keegan obviously the the central figure who pulled it all together.
And then there's the y uh i again, you know, I was a kid, I didn't understand it at the time, but a really weird ending that he leaves on a helicopter after his testimonial, which was against Liverpool.
