So Jonathan Swift loved a molli and uh he had a recurring
idealised woman, object of desire for him, whom he called Molly O'Mine, who turns up in various poems by Swift, particularly poems he wrote in Latin, incidentally.
Sort of Molly turns up in a poem Swift wrote called Mary the Cookmaid's Letter to Dr.
Sheridan.
In that she's her housemaid.
Swift also collaborated with his friends John Gay and Alexander Pope on the ballad of Molly Mogg, who's a very attractive barmaid.
