I've I've never had the kind of hatred for it that you have.

I I'd read it once before and I liked it and there's so much I admire about this book.

I do think it's overrated in that it occupies this completely canonical position.

And he's not the only game in town at the time.

I mean in the nineteen tens a lot of people are ripping up the rule book in different ways.

And there are bits of Udysseys on

I completely love.

It is very long.

It's very baggy.

There's no, there's not much pleasure in reading it.

It's a bit of a grind that you do to kind of tick off.

I don't think it hangs together either.

Like you sort of get to the end and you're like, thank God it's over.

And I think, I think if he'd edited it, if he'd sort of used this as a first draft and then whittled it away to half the length, I really think it would be a

masterpiece, but it's I I do find it a very baggy, you know, parts of it are brilliant, but parts of it are really not brilliant.

So a sort of compendium of styles and techniques he's trying.

But I do love the punk energy of it.

I've always loved that about it.
