It was far from a vintage performance.

I thought it was quite scrappy first half.

We weren't fluid enough.

We weren't playing football at all, really, first half.

Second half, I thought we caused them more problems, especially towards the end of the game.

We were pushing for the winner towards the end but couldn't find it.

What were the manager's instructions to you when he sent you on, Adam?

I think you know what the feeling was because you've seen all of our reactions when they went in.

You probably know better than me because you've looked back at it.

I just felt as though the referee gave a lot of them free kicks to them, similar type of free kicks in the first half, and that one for me was very similar to the one he'd given Marcus early on and he didn't give it for us.

But we've got to defend the goal better and it's no excuse for us.

Performance level wasn't up to our normal standards.

We've got to accept, move on, learn from the gain, take the positives, learn from the negatives and keep going, keep pushing.

Psychologically though, Adam, how big is the difference between losing here today and coming away with something?

Well, obviously disappointed because we wanted to come here and get the three points.

But we knew it would be tough.

We knew it would be frantic at times.
