Everyone was telling me about Salvador.
Salvador holds the history of where the slaves used to be.
The fucked up thing about us black Brits is that our ancestors were never slaves in this country.
Or there might have been, but a very small proportion.
Most of the plantations were were outsourced.
So there's this very confusing thing where England will act as if their hands are clean.
Like, like, you know, like there was never, you know, we, you know, this this land, we we invite you over.
This is this is lovely, we're not we're not racist or whatever.
But it's complicated because it's like I feel like actually there's weirdly some kind of comfort in the idea that let's say in the southern part of uh the states or or in Rio or Ho or in Brazil, sorry, wherever, you can actually walk the same land that your where your ancestors had been.
