Ich weiß nicht, ich bin nach Süddakota, ich bin nach Montana, ich bin nach Wyoming. Ich weiß, was es in einer älteren Wirtschaft wie unserer benötigen wird. So viele Boomers brauchen jetzt medizinische Unterstützung und Hilfe. Wer wird sie kümmern?

Bevor ich diese Frage beantworten darf, möchte ich hier ein paar Dinge aufmerksam machen. Ich bin hier illegal. Ich bin hier ohne Aufmerksamkeit von der Regierung. Ich kann mich jederzeit aufnehmen, wenn sie das entscheiden. Aber ich als Person bin nicht illegal. Denn Menschen können nicht illegal sein. Man kann es also dokumentieren, man kann es autorisieren, was auch immer man es nennen möchte.

Aber ich bin hier illegal, ich versuche nicht politisch korrekt zu sein, ich nenne nur die Fakten. Aber ich denke, eine Teil der Rhetorik ist, dass wir uns so gezwungen sind, Menschen zu denken, die hier ohne Dokumentation als Kriminelle sind, dass wir einen gesamten Gruppen von Menschen bezeichnet haben, Es macht mich niemals überrascht, weil mein Name ist Jose Antonio Vargas.

Es wird nicht mehr latinisch genannt als das. Ich sehe so aus. Es heißt übrigens Filipino. Es sind etwa fünf Millionen von uns im Land, nur zum Beispiel. Es macht mich niemals überrascht, wenn Leute... Ich war in Birmingham, in Selma, in Montgomery. Einige Leute kennen mich, weil ich das tue. Und jemand sagt, oh, du bist der illegalen Mexikaner. Und ich sage, nein, warte, was?

Wir haben uns so gewöhnt, dass wir Menschen als Mexikaner illegal nennen. Ich habe das im Süden bemerkt. Und meine Meinung ist einfach überrascht. Und 35 Millionen Mexikaner in diesem Land, Millionen davon, die hierhergekommen sind, bevor es in den USA war. Mexikaner in diesem Land sind jetzt die Deutschen im 19. Jahrhundert, die dominanten ethnischen Gruppen. 35 Millionen von ihnen.

Und wir haben sie sozusagen illegal gegründet. Also da ist das. Aber das ist Teil der Frage, die Sie fragen. Ich denke, jetzt ist diese Administration spezifisch geworden. Und ich denke, das ist Stephen Miller, der sein Homework macht. Und ich glaube, das ist Stephen Miller, der sein Homework macht. Und ich weiß nicht, wie dieser Typ, ich glaube, er hat in Santa Monica in L.A. gearbeitet.

He's going to have a big part in the administration, working with the border czar, and they're going to go layer by layer to say, wait a second, you know, those people that were just apprehended at the border, that dad who has been here for 40 years and hasn't adjusted status, even though his kids are US citizens, all of those now is in play.

And I think you're going to see kind of an onion peeling of the damage that's going to happen. My question is this. What are we in the media going to do about it? Are we going to watch this and fall? And again, I used to be a Washington Post reporter, right? Are we going to fall in this objectivity thing where there's two equal sides? Are we going to make this a Republican versus Democrat thing?

Or are we going to ask ourselves, what the hell are we watching? And is this going to happen in my watch?

Well, you know, I just had one this morning.

But that's how we got into this mess to begin with. We've gotten to this mess because we have been totally unserious as a country. All we want is to be distracted, right? That's what we want to be. We don't want to know what really happened. I mean, it's fascinating being in Alabama the days before the election, right? And being reminded of...

Not only the history of this country, but the present of this country. Black people in this country, who built this country as enslaved people, are still fighting for their equal rights. And we still don't know the full facts of what happened in the Civil War and the reconstruction of the country. And by the way,

I'm so used to being asked questions every time that it doesn't matter if it's a Pop-Tart or a Dim Sum. I will answer any question from anybody. I was like, they invited me to go to Alaska. I'll go to Alaska. We're Sarah Palin. Let's talk. There is not a single person that I will not talk to about this. My only thing is, we have to do it with actual facts. We have to know what we are dealing with.

Not talking points, like facts.

Das Jahr, glaube ich, war Präsident Obama, 400.000 Menschen das Jahr verhaftet. Und ich habe meine Hand ausgerastet und gesagt, komm, hol mich hin. Und, Alter, niemand hat mich getroffen. Natürlich hat mich Bill O'Reilly angerufen. Ich habe Bill O'Reilly gemacht. Ich habe all diese Shows gemacht, richtig? Niemand hat mich angerufen.

Und dann habe ich einen Dokumentarfilm gemacht, der heißt Dokumented. Ich habe Ice selbst angerufen. Ich habe gesagt, hey, ich habe dich noch nicht gehört. Wie, was? Wirst du mich deportieren? Warum? Warum nicht? Ich bin ein Journalist. Ich versuche, diese Geschichte zu folgen, die mir passiert ist. Und sie haben gesagt, wir kommentieren nicht auf deinen Fall.
