When I noticed my dad coming running back into the field with a handful of leaves in his hand, he quickly started to chew it and then place it on the wounded area.
Not to cure them, but to clot your blood, to stop bleeding.
That leaf has some kind of acidic that instantly, like instant, like you see when you have that PVC pipe open, pour in water and you close it, close it.
Exactly what that leaf does to the bleeding.
Just to stop bleeding, I managed to walk one hour from farm to my home.
and I got cured after.
So some of these very important for infection.
We have infection plant, we have plants for headaches.
When we do jungle hike, we have what we call a jungle cane.
It's very sour and that piece of jungle cane really helps for dehydration.
So all of these things, you know, they are very knowledgeable on the Maya people up to today day.
