Yeah, I think this is as unsatisfying as it is to say both things are true.

If you looked at a lot of golf courses, regardless of the extent to which they rewarded fairness, they'd have a murderer's row of winners.

Whether you want to call it fair, whether you want to call it it rewards skill, whether you want to call it more predictable than the other open venues.
I think what you see at Brookdale is a very effective job at graduated penalty of, you know, fairways that are narrow, but you can hit them.
You miss by a little bit.
There's a penalty associated with it.
You'll find your ball, but it's not, you know, it's playable.
And then if you get pretty far off,
You can get into some pretty thick vegetation areas, not a lot of blind shots, not a lot of water hazards.
There are some holes where water is in play, but it's really not in play.
Like you'd have to hit something pretty far offline to end up in the water.
