I've got to write this book because we don't write enough histories that help people.
We write so many esoteric histories about, you know, politics or war.
And what I call these fast time histories where everything is changing everywhere all at once and all the smart people saw it coming.
And it's always 1929.
It's always 2008.
And you just don't want to be that, right?
And I try to tell people the purpose of those histories is not to educate you on what to do with your finances.
The purpose of those histories is to entertain you.
It is a murder mystery.
You are supposed to yell at the screen.
He's behind you.
The subprime mortgage lender is behind you and run away from the mortgage.
And that's what people are getting out of that.
But that doesn't tell you what I call slow time history is what do you do in between those moments?
That's going to get stress tested later.
Who do you marry?
What career do you pick?
What do you get addicted to?
How good do you get at what you do?
And those are the kind of decisions.
