We want to get out of the building as soon as possible.
But once the game and the lights cut off for me, you know, after putting so much of my life into it, you know, this was the most logical step for me to hold on to that edge, to that, you know, that all-purpose football mentality that I still possessed.
It's just Pop Warner, man.
Like, being able to do something at a high level.

We didn't win often with the Browns.
We had one winning season, that 10-6 year.
And it was, for me, it was sort of like redundant.
Like, you know, losing and then coming home feeling like I'm putting it all out there on the field.
I remember one game, we get back in town, and I'm driving back home on 71, and I'm
You know, it was just a somber moment.
And I felt like it was becoming a drag.
The sport that I had played, Pop Warner, Pee Wee Football League, and D.C., all the way up through college to NFL, I'm finally here.
And now, in my soul, it felt like I was sad.
So what I did was I rededicated myself to the game, to the sport that we love.
I went out, I saw a rec ball game going on, and I kind of stood back in the stands and kind of looked at the young kids playing and grabbed a little bit of that momentum that they had.
Knowing that every kid out there on the field, they want to go pro.
They trying to play their heart out.
And for me, it was a rededication moment.
And I had to think back to when I was playing every day at recess.
