It was just optimized for it was one less thing to pay attention to.
And, you know, it's funny.
Somebody used an example with me recently, and I think it was on the podcast where they were saying they were like, yeah, for example, a huge waste of your time in life is matching socks from the laundry.
So I buy 100 pairs of the exact same pairs of socks.
And then I just dump them into a bin.
I never take the time to match them up.
And then I just reach in and grab two pairs of socks.
Why do I need to match two pairs of socks just to unmatch them again to put them on my feet?
If I buy all the exact same socks, then I just reach in the bin, grab two socks, and I'm on my way.
And I thought that was hilarious.
I was like, man.
That is somebody who's trying to optimize one like crazy thing to the nth degree.
But then you think about it, you're like that same person, maybe somewhere else in their life.
You look at them and you thought it's such an unoptimized process.
But yeah, you're looking at optimizing these processes.
And I'm curious what your perspective on this is, because I'm sure you see this in the assembly line, right?
You were talking about how, like, if this station takes one minute and this station takes 30 seconds, then obviously this station is sitting idle for 30 seconds waiting for when it could have completed its entire process another time over and doubled its throughput.
So you solve that problem and then it probably exposes a new problem, right?
I was talking to Kevin, our VP of marketing a while back, and we were talking about something similar to this.
And I gave him the analogy of you don't realize you have a thorn in your toe when you're getting hit in the head with a hammer.
