Then it becomes like a thing.
Now it's an issue.
Now the player that's in that position, he starts feeling it.
I never had to go through that.
My expectation was just to go out there and compete and work hard, and that was something that was always within my control.
So I always looked at things of, this is fantastic.
I go out there and do my thing, and I think the special part about playing in Montreal is they understand hockey.
So when you're just doing those little things, they still appreciate that.
If you block a shot, you get a puck out on a penalty kill, you make a big hit.
Those little things that happen, the fans appreciate that.
So I embraced Montreal.
I didn't ever feel the heat, the pressure, but I know it's a tough place to play.
having played in San Jose previous to that, I remember, you know, you play the game, you walk outside the rink afterwards and it's, nobody knows who you are.
That's right.
Inside the arena, unbelievable fans, passionate.
They love the game.
It's an exciting place to play.
And then you leave and you're just another citizen in the city.
