And it's classic Trumpism.
He creates a manufactured crisis and then he fixes his own problem.
We're slightly worse off as a result.
And he'll say, look, I did it.
I solved it.
I won.
Yeah, I mean, Trump is a symptom of a bigger disease in this country.
And a lot of people say, you know, we need to go back to life before Trump.
But life before Trump is what enabled this.
And life before Trump wasn't working for most Americans anyway.
We still have massive problems.
income inequality people don't have health care we're still dealing with a bloated pentagon budget so all of these issues remain and these are issues that the democratic party very much does not address at times and so we do need to go to a world beyond trump a world where we can prevent this kind of thing by happening by actually pushing for a major progressive wave of agenda
I'm not a huge fan, no.
In fact, I think they're a disgrace.
Well, I'm a revolutionary optimist.
I feel cautiously optimistic that the pendulum is going to swing hard back in the direction of progress, prosperity.
I want to see a new era, a new wave of American politics that actually addresses the material conditions that people are dealing with.
Could you imagine if we...
get through these dark ages, and we saw an actual golden age of America, eight years of a very progressive president, someone who's expanding healthcare access to everybody in the country, someone who's addressing the housing crisis, getting us out of wars, doing all the things that Trump lied to people about, but actually delivering results.
That's what I want to see.
