Yeah, the DOJ, the... I mean, listen, let me just go back to the first principles.
I don't have any issue with victim funds, victim compensation funds.
I just fought for a huge victim compensation fund for nuclear radiation victims in Missouri, for example.
So I have no issue with that.
If the federal government has violated your constitutional rights, I think you ought to be able to apply and get compensation.
I'm sure there's a way to work out the administration of it.
So on principle, I've got no issue with that.
Sure, if your constitutional rights have been violated.
Now, if you violated somebody else's constitutional rights, well, then no.
But if you're the victim, like if you've actually had your constitutional rights violated, then, you know, I think that you ought to be able to go and apply.
Now, there ought to be the right criteria and all that kind of thing, but we do victim compensation funds all the time.
This bill is not going to become law in its current form, not least because President Trump won't sign it.
